We are the Occidental College Veg Club! We're all about building community, spreading passion, improving lives, and empowering individuals to lead a compassionate lifestyle. We aim to spread the message that a plant-based diet can save us and our world.
We cook gourmet vegan community dinners every Saturday night, fundraise for animal rights causes, visit local vegan restaurants and animal sanctuaries, educate about the health and environmental benefits of a plant based diet, host vegan baking parties, screen documentaries, bring speakers to campus throughout the year, and more! Upcoming Veg Club events include the April 6th Activist Empowerment Conference and Go Veg! Week in the final week of April, which will feature events EVERY DAY of the week! This year we are also implementing a mentoring program for those who want support in making the switch!
To vegetarians, vegans, and meat-eaters interested in finding out more about the no-meat lifestyle, welcome!
